Known as the "Timber City of the South", Butuan City has always been a fertile ground for agriculture, trade and commerce.  The majestic Agusan River makes all these possible.  It is the city's source for irrigation as well as its means to transport goods, timber and people to the marketplace. 

PAL flies between Manila and Butuan once a day.
