Online Booking Terms and Conditions

 

 

Our online booking features a fully automated facility called “Calendar Pricing”, which immediately displays the lowest fare available over a seven-day range – three days before and three days after the planned travel date – thus allowing travelers to decide quickly when it is most convenient and cheapest to fly. 


Important Notice for Passengers with Nut Allergy
PAL requires passengers with peanut or tree nut (almonds, cashews, etc.) allergy to give PAL advance notice at least 48 hours before the intended departure date.  Otherwise, PAL reserves the right to deny boarding due to safety reasons.    The passenger who fails to give the required 48-hour advance notice cannot be guaranteed a nut-free meal.  The passenger, may, at his/her option, choose to bring his/her own meal for the duration of the flight.   

The passenger is advised to take all necessary precautions to avoid and/or control the onset of allergies by bringing medications, medical mask or devices that might become necessary should a passenger incur an allergic reaction during the flight. PAL does not commit to, nor guarantee a total peanut/nut-free flight. 

PAL cannot guarantee an environment free of any allergen, including nuts, nut dust, nut oil or nut remnants.  In addition, PAL cannot give assurances that remnants of nuts and/or nut dust/oil will not remain on the aircraft floor, seats or tray tables from flights earlier in the aircraft’s routing. 

Products served on board, including meals, snack boxes and snack mixes may be processed or packaged in factories that produce peanut or other nut products.Peanuts, products made from peanut oil and other nuts may possibly be served onboard.  

In addition, PAL has no control over other passengers who may bring peanuts and nuts, or other products containing peanuts and nuts onboard our flights.  The foregoing notwithstanding, PAL reserves the right to deny boarding on the basis of safety.  

Important Notice 
To avoid fraudulent transactions and to protect card owners, PAL reserves the right to require that the credit/debit card used in purchasing the ticket(s) online be presented at the ticket collection point, upon check-in or in cases of reissuance, rebooking or refund of a ticket.


If the card owner is not part of the travelling party and is unable to present the credit/debit card used, PAL also reserves the right to require the presentation of clear photocopies of the front of the credit/debit card and the valid PHOTO ID of the card owner at the ticket collection point, upon check-in and in cases of reissuance, rebooking and/or refund. It shall be the responsibility of the credit card owner to ensure that the passenger(s) comply with the requirement.

 

PAL reserves the right to deny boarding to passenger(s) or refuse to reissue, revalidate, rebook or refund  a ticket for failure to comply with foregoing requirements.

 

Without prejudice to criminal prosecution under Republic Act No. 8484, PAL may cancel a confirmed reservation or may remove from any flight any passenger if PAL has reason to believe that a ticket(s) has been purchased using a fraudulent credit card. 


Warning
The Access Devices Act of the Philippines imposes a penalty of 6 to 12 years imprisonment to those who make fraudulent use of credit/debit cards and to those who benefit from the tickets purchased from such fraudulent transaction.  Passengers are warned to ensure that the tickets they are holding were not purchased through fraudulent means. Passengers who are holding tickets purchased through fraudulent credit cards may be apprehended at the airport for violation of the Access Devices Act in relation to the Anti-Fencing Law.

Availability and Fares 
Fares for online purchases can be accessed without the need to register or login. You may check the lowest fare across a seven day period or the lowest fare for your specified or exact travel date. 

You can book for a flight 24 hours up to 10 months from now. 

Type of Trip
You can book one way, simple round trip and multi destination.


Type of Passengers 
Travelling with an infant? Use Online Booking now! Infant with seat and/or without seat can now be booked through the online booking system.


Infants turning Two (2) enroute
Infants who are already two (2) years of age at the time of the return trip are required by regulation to have a seat hence parents or guardians are hereby notified to call reservation in order to reserve a seat for the infant on the scheduled flight subject to availability of seat and the payment of additional fare.

 

The infant must travel with the accompanying adult to which the infant’s ticket is associated with.  If the accompanying adult cannot travel with the infant, the infant may be allowed to travel with another adult qualified to accompany the infant under the law provided the reasons on why the accompanying adult cannot travel is due to medical, death or immigration problem only and supporting documents are submitted to PAL. 

Traveller Information 
A passenger/buyer may check for fares and flight availability across a seven day range without the need to register or log-in. 

Minimum Connecting Time 
Minimum connecting time depends on what carrier/terminal the passenger is arriving and the carrier/terminal where the passenger is connecting or departing. Connecting time between NAIA Terminal 2 and NAIA Terminal 3, and among PAL, and other airlines vary. Please check Minimum Connecting Time Table for more information. 

Acknowledgement 
For international flights, all fares are quoted in the currency of  the country of departure but will be billed in USD. International tickets originating the  Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam will be quoted and billed in USD.

Read through the fare rules and conditions. Your agreement to such rules and penalties is required before you can continue with your booking process.

Further, I agree that for verification purposes, PAL reserves the right to require presentation of the credit/debit card used for this transaction upon check-in. If I am not part of the travelling party, I will provide my passenger(s) a clear photocopy of the front of my credit/debit card for presentation along with a clear photocopy of my valid photo ID. 

I also agree that PAL may deny me and/or any passenger(s) boarding in case of failure to comply with the foregoing requirement and I will hold PAL free and harmless from all and any liability in this regard.


Advance Seat Selection/Reservation
Advance seat selection is provided for free and is available to customer booking Economy (Fiesta Saver) Class and higher fares. However, the Carrier does not guarantee the availability of the pre-selected seats at check-in due to safety, security or operational requirement.

 

Choice Economy Seat Surcharge (CESS) shall apply when choosing Bulkhead or Exit Row seats. Fees are not refundable for voluntary changes. Seat fee may be applied to another flight provided rebooking is made at least 24 hours prior the original flight otherwise, CESS shall be forfeited.


Type of Ticket 
E-ticket will be issued on ALL Philippine Airlines-operated flights and PAL Express code-shared flights. 

Payment 
Credit/Debit Cards used online for international tickets will be quoted in the currency of the country of departure but will be billed in USD. International tickets originating the  Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam will be quoted and billed in USD. All domestic fares are quoted and charged in PHP. Billing and payment currency shall be based on the cardholders agreement with the card issuer. Currency conversion may result in differences between the amount charged to your account and the amount billed. 

Transactions made online are considered purchases in the Philippines. Certain banks may charge foreign transaction fees if the credit card used online is issued outside the Philippines. You may refer to your credit card policy statement if foreign transaction fee will apply to purchases made at www.philippineairlines.com.

*Our system will automatically verify the credit/debit card used. Your credit/debit card will be charged as soon as you complete the booking process and confirm payment.

It is not necessary that cardholder is part of travelling party. You may purchase a ticket for your relatives and friends. 


E Ticket Itinerary Receipt/Booking Confirmation
You will receive your e-ticket itinerary receipt via e-mail. Please have it printed and bring it with you together with your valid photo ID or passport.

For check-in and immigration purposes, a valid PHOTO ID issued by the government or known corporations is required to enter the terminal.


Booking Cancellation 
Cancellation of booking is not possible online. If you wish to make cancellation on your booking, visit or call any Philippine Airlines Ticket Office or send an e-mail to onlinebooking@philippineairlines.com Penalties may apply depending on the conditions attached to the fare. 

Refunds 

Payment Mode: Mastercard/Visa/JCB Credit/Debit Cards/My ePrepaid MasterCard
If the fare conditions permit, you may refund the unused tickets bought online subject to possible penalties. Please  visit or call any Philippine Airlines Ticket Office or send an e-mail to onlinebooking_refunds@philippineairlines.com.  Unless we hear from you, we will not automatically refund your unused tickets.  

Note: Some fares are non refundable. Please check the fare conditions relating to the selected airfare(s). 

Payment mode: BancNet ATM card 
BancNet cardholder applying for refund of payment pertaining to unused ticket or portion thereof acknowledges and agrees that refund shall be processed by the Carrier in accordance with Article 11 of the General Conditions and Carriage and such other refund conditions and procedures of the Carrier. The BancNet cardholder likewise acknowledges and agrees to the following conditions:

  1. Refund shall be permitted only if the fare conditions allow refund, subject to applicable 
    refund penalties and charges.
  2. www.philippineairlines.com shall treat all online purchases made using the BancNet ATM Debit Card as CASH transactions. Only the passenger whose name appears on the ticket can apply for cash refund and claim proceeds thereof.
  3. If the BancNet cardholder, using the BancNet ATM Debit Card, purchased a ticket online for 
    use of another person, such BancNet cardholder expressly assigns in full to the passenger 
    the right to apply for refund.
  4. Request for an outright cash refund may only be accepted not earlier than two business days 
    after the date of ticket issuance to allow reconciliation of reports with BancNet. However, 
    cancellation of bookings must be made by the passenger to avoid assessment of no-show 
    surcharge on tickets that cannot immediately be processed due to the minimum number of 
    days required for refund.
  5. Outright refund may be filed and claimed at any Philippine-based PAL ticket office.


Booking Changes 
If you need to change your booking, please visit or call any Philippine Airlines Ticket Office or send an e-mail to onlinebooking@philippineairlines.com.  Re-booking penalty may apply depending on the conditions attached to the fare. For domestic flights, a 12% Value Added Tax will be added to the total penalty to be collected. Note: Some fares are non rebookable.  Please check the fare conditions relating to the selected airfare(s). 

Flight Schedule Changes 
Information on schedule changes (if any) after your booking is made will be communicated to you via e-mail. 

Philippine Travel Tax Application or Exemption
Presidential Decree No. 1183, as amended, provides that a travel tax shall be levied on (a) all citizens of the Philippines; (b) permanent resident aliens; and (c) non-immigrant aliens who have stayed in the Philippines for more than one (1) year, who are leaving the country. 

You may be assessed or asked to pay in cash the Philippine Travel Tax based on the following :

  • Business & Economy
    Full Tax - PHP 1,620.00 
    Children - PHP 810.00 
    (2-11 years)


If you are exempted from paying the Philippine Travel Tax or entitled to a reduced travel tax, please secure applicable certificates such as follows, from Philippine Tourism Authority (PTA), Department of Tourism (DOT) before you book online:

  • Tax Exemption Certificate (TEC) if you are exempted from paying the Philippine Travel Tax
  • Reduced Travel Tax Certificate (RTTC) if you are qualified for a reduced Philippine Travel Tax and
  • Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) if you are an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) 


It is also required to present your valid passport together with any of the aforementioned valid original Philippine Tourism Authority (PTA) Certificates when claiming your ticket(s) purchased online. 

International Travel Documentation Requirements
If you intend to travel to international destinations, you are solely responsible for complying with the laws, regulations, orders, demands and travel requirements of your intended foreign destinations prior to your travel date. 

General Conditions of Carriage 
By completing a booking through Philippine Airlines ONLINE BOOKING facility, you agree to be bound by the same Conditions of Contract and Notices and General Conditions of Carriage between Philippine Airlines and its passengers, as if the booking has been made through other conventional channels.
