New DOTC Terminal Fee Regulation for

flights from Mactan

 

Philippine Airlines is advising its passengers travelling from Mactan, Cebu of the latest regulation of the Department of Transportation and Communication regarding payment of airport terminal fee.

 

Under the new regulation issued by the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA), passengers shall be charged the airport terminal fee when they purchase tickets through online booking engines,

airline ticket offices and travel agencies. This new rule applies to all tickets issued/re-issued on March 1, 2013 and onwards.

 

Meanwhile, holders of tickets issued before March 1, 2013, with flights departing on this date onwards, are required to pay the airport terminal fee amounting to 200 PHP at designated terminal fee counters at the Mactan, Cebu International Airport.

 

All domestic passengers are advised to bring with them a printed copy of the airline ticket, electronic ticket, or itinerary receipt, to avoid inconvenience during the check-in process.

 

MCIAA is under the control and jurisdiction of the DOTC.
