Philippine Airlines cancelled several flights to and from Davao City today (June 4, 2013) in view of the temporary closure of the Davao International Airport due to the runway obstruction caused by a Cebu Pacific aircraft incident.
The following Manila – Davao flights were declared cancelled, namely:
- PR 809 (original ETD - 4:05AM)
- PR 811 (original ETD - 6:30AM)
- PR 813 (original ETD - 9:00AM)
The following Davao – Manila flights were likewise cancelled, namely:
- PR 810 (original ETD - 6:30AM)
- PR 812 (original ETD - 9:10AM)
- PR 814 (original ETD - 11:40AM)
The airline is mounting special flights from Manila to General Santos City today in order to accommodate the affected Davao-bound passengers. From General Santos, the passengers will be taken to Davao City by land via air-conditioned buses. Food and drinks will be provided.
MNL-GES flight PR5453 departs at 10:30AM, while GES-MNL flight PR5454 departs at 2:00PM. The regular MNL-GES-MNL flight PR 453 / 454 was upgraded to a wide - body aircraft to accommodate the affected passengers.
Manila-bound passengers who remain stranded in Davao have the option to travel to General Santos City by bus, courtesy of PAL, and take the GES-MNL flights.
All rebooking fees are deemed waived.
