'Captain' Brian gets last-minute instructions from Capt. Nomorosa before their simulated flight to Singapore.
11- year old Brian Armas got his wish to be a pilot for a day at Philippine Airlines' Flight Simulator Center last October 3, 2012.
With the help of Make A Wish Foundation and PAL Foundation, the young boy’s dream to `fly` a plane became a reality.
Brian, who was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia last year, was accompanied by his parents on a simulated flight from Manila to Singapore onboard PAL’s brand new A320 simulator.
The flight, supervised by PAL Capt. Jojo Nomorosa, allowed Brian to experience all the phases of a flight, including occasional air turbulence.
With his eagerness to learn, Brian had no qualms asking about the complex control panels, flight procedures and the simulator's virtual display.
Brian’s ultimate dream is to fly a commercial jet thus making his experience at the PAL Flight Simulator an unforgettable one.
Though Brian has stopped schooling to undergo regular treatments at Philippine General Hospital (PGH), his friends at Make A Wish Foundation continue to make his wish list come true.
