Standard Promotional Fare Upgrade Fee (SPFUF)

Passenger who opts to take a flight other than on the flight/date shown on his/her ticket and whose fare requires charges for any changes to flight or date of departure shall be assessed the Standard Promotional Fare Upgrade Fee (SPFUF).

These passengers effectively want to go-show and therefore their tickets have to be upgraded to a fare that allows go-shows.

The following SPFUF shall be assessed at the airport of embarkation for travel on all classes (business or economy class), EXCEPT for fare bases with prime codes,  J, C, N, Y, S, L:
