Pagadian

Pagadian City, dubbed as the "Little Hong Kong of the South" for its mountainous terrain, is the capital of the province of Zamboanga del Sur and the regional center of Zamboanga Peninsula.

"Pagadianons" claim with pride that the city is the only place in the Philippines one can see a public transport inclined at about 25-40 degree angle, ready for all steeply sloping terrain that takes around 45% of the total city area.

For now, Pagadian City is more for the laid back traveler.  Though tourist sites are mostly still being developed, the city already boasts of beautiful waterfalls that are hidden from the entrapments of modernization.
