Connecting Flights

 

PAL offers a check-through amenity, a one-stop check-in for passengers originating from any PAL station with connecting flight to any PAL destination. 


Domestic to international, domestic to domestic, international to international*, and international to domestic** routes are currently allowed. 


*Conditions apply to international to international transfer: 

  • Issued ticket for PAL flights with international to international connections should be single ticket (one ticket). Split tickets are not allowed. 
  • Connection shall be within 24 hours (extending the next day) upon arrival.  
  • International transit passengers are not allowed to go out of the terminal if there is no stopover indicated in the ticket. If there is, passenger must comply with arrival protocols in the Philippines. 

 

 

**Conditions apply to international to domestic transfer: 

  • Only passengers who are not required to undergo the required facility-based quarantine are allowed to connect to their domestic onward destination.  
  • Connection shall be within 24 hours (extending the next day) upon arrival.  
  • Baggage shall be tagged-through all the way to final destination. However, passengers must claim their baggage from the carousel for Customs clearance, then return to our baggage attendants for loading.    

 


Passengers must ensure to have complete health & documentary requirements for their onward domestic and international destinations.  


International transit passengers shall undergo health and requirements check conducted by the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) upon disembarkation.  


Passengers are reminded to accomplish the following online forms prior to departure: 


Arriving in the Philippines: Register to One Health Pass (OHP) prior to arrival in the Philippines:  

  • Passengers with international to domestic connections are required to register to One Health Pass (OHP) as required by the Bureau of Quarantine.  
  • Passengers with international to international connections are not required to register to One Health Pass (OHP).  
  • Upon arrival, all transfer passengers must approach the Transfer Desk for documentary check. 

 

 

Traveling within the Philippines:  

 

 

Departing from the Philippines:  

  • Register to the health and travel declaration forms required by your destination. 

 

  • Register to the PAL Laboratory Partner e-CIF as early as 5 days before departure for passengers whose COVID-19  test will be taken with any of PAL’s Partner Laboratories (optional).

    Passengers who are required to undergo facility-based quarantine with existing bookings on international to domestic connecting flights may rebook their onward domestic flight according to their vaccination status, pre-departure RT-PCR test compliance, and quarantine requirements. This is to ensure that the scheduled swab test and release of test results, if required, are accommodated. Rebooking terms and conditions apply.  


    For passengers who are required to undergo facility-based quarantine making future bookings, they may book their onward Domestic flight according to their vaccination status, pre-departure RT-PCR test compliance, and quarantine requirements.

    If your travel plans have changed, whether it is affected by travel rules or you will not take the flight voluntarily, please ensure to cancel your booking 24 hours before departure to avoid unnecessary fees.

    If you have a connecting flight with another airline, please ensure to contact or check their website for any requirements before you continue with your trip.  


    Each flight ticket has its own Free Baggage Allowance policy. This FBA entitlement is valid only on that specific flight and may not necessarily apply to your connecting flights. PAL or other carriers may require you to pay excess baggage fees if your FBA entitlement is lower on your connecting flights.  


    Important: Minimum Connecting Time depends on what carrier/terminal the passenger is arriving and the carrier/terminal where the passenger is connecting or departing.   


    Baggage Clearance: For connecting flight involving different terminals (in Manila), due to facility limitation and CIQ requirements, tagging the baggage all the way to final destination may not be allowed. Passengers may need to claim their baggage and clear with Customs upon arrival.
