Reminders for Peak Season Travel

22 Nov 2018

We expect a heavy volume of travelers in the coming peak travel period, thus Philippine Airlines is advising passengers to:

  • Leave home early to allot more time for travel to the airport
  • Ensure that travel documents (passports/visas) and ID cards are in your possession and are easily accessible
  • Be mindful of valuables and personal belongings as well as infants and small children
  • Have name tags and distinguishing marks on pieces of luggage for easy identification and ease in retrieval from airport carousel
  • Know your FBA - Free Baggage Allowance (written at the back of your e-ticket) - and pack accordingly
  • Liquids 100 ML or less can be stored inside hand-carry, in zip-lock bags; liquid amounts more than 100 ml must be placed in check-in luggage.
  • Check-in early at the airport for an easier pre-departure process, and to avoid long security queues
  • Be aware that counters close one hour before flight departure
  • Be mindful of flight boarding time; to avoid flight delays that may inconvenience passengers, we have to off-load baggage of passengers not present  at the flight's boarding gate 20 minutes before departure time
  • Aircraft doors shall be closed 10 minutes before flight departure

PAL is working together with the airport authorities and the PNP Aviation Security Group to meet passenger expectations for ease of travel as they go through the country's main gateway airports.

We advise our passengers to check the status of their flights by visiting the flight status page - at www.philippineairlines.com - at least 48 hours before their scheduled flight. They may also check via the PAL Mobile App or by calling Reservations Hotline (+63 2) 855 - 8888.

Passengers arriving at NAIA T1 (T1) with connecting flights in another NAIA terminal are advised to proceed to the main driveway of the T1 arrival area where the inter-terminal shuttle buses are stationed.

Passengers on flights arriving at NAIA Terminal 2 (T2) with connecting flights in another NAIA terminal may proceed to the T2  Inter-Terminal Transit Lounge (ITTL) and avail of our free shuttle service to Terminals 1 or 3.

Passengers on flights arriving at NAIA Terminal 3 (T3) with connecting flights in another NAIA terminal should proceed to the Transfer Desk at the arrival area and they shall be assisted to the waiting area for inter-terminal shuttle buses.
