Travel Advisory

Clark arrival for London and Taipei

10 Jul 2020

Advisory No. 93
July 11, 2020

Attention - Passengers departing from:

London (PR 721) July 16, 23 and 30

Taipei (PR 891) July 15 and 29

The following PAL flights will be re-routed to land in CLARK (Clark International Airport -CRK) instead of in Manila, because of quarantine processing limitations at Manila airport. The re-routing to Clark is necessary to avoid a full cancellation of your flight.

• PR 721 departing London Heathrow (LHR) on July 16, 23 and 30

-- will operate as London-Clark, departing LHR at 5:10 PM, and arriving in CRK at 1:15PM the next day (July 17, 24 and 31 respectively).

• PR 891 departing Taipei (TPE) on July 15 and 29

-- will operate as PR 5891 (Taipei- Clark), departing TPE at 9:30 AM, and arriving in CRK at 11:40 AM.

You will undergo the required COVID testing in Clark rather than inManila and quarantine at a Clark-area hotel accredited by the Philippine health and tourism authorities.

Once you receive a negative test result (usually within 48 hours of the test), PAL will arrange for your land transfer to Manila at no extra charge.

Please note that the cost for the COVID tests and the quarantine hotel will be borne by the traveller (just as it would have been if the flight had landed in Manila). However, for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), the government will shoulder the cost of tests and accommodation.

Please book your Clark hotel accommodation prior to your departure. You may choose from this list of accredited hotels. For the updated list, please click this link --- https://www.philippineairlines.com/en/~/media/files/coronavirus/crk%20doh-inspected%20hotels_12jul20.pdf?la=en

We suggest that you book your hotel for at least two (2) nights, in line with the expected 48 hours processing time to receive the COVID test results.

Please show a copy of your hotel reservation as you check in for your PAL flight to the Philippines.

Pampanga, the site of Clark airport, is presently under a more relaxed Modified General Community Quarantine or MGCQ status.

This new option to land in Clark is one solution (to the quarantine arrival limitations) that we have worked out with airport and health authorities, so that we can serve the thousands of travelers who have urgent and essential reasons to travel home to the Philippines.

Our aircraft and our crew are ready to fly you home, and we will do what we can to make this possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this challenging time.
