- If you have a connecting flight with another airline, please contact or check their website for any requirements before continuing your trip.
- Each flight ticket has its Free Baggage Allowance policy. This FBA entitlement is valid only on that specific flight and may not necessarily apply to your connecting flights. PAL or other carriers may require you to pay excess baggage fees if your FBA entitlement is lower on your connecting flights.
- Passengers must ensure to have complete health & documentary requirements for their onward domestic and international destinations.
- Passengers must meet the Minimum Connecting Time (MCT). The MCT depends on what carrier/terminal the passenger is arriving at and the carrier/terminal where the passenger is connecting or departing from. Please refer to the MCT timetable below.

Conditions apply to international to international transfer:
- The connection shall be the same day or within 24 hours from arrival.
- Passengers who will not leave the airport will not need to present additional travel requirements.
- International transit passengers may be allowed to leave the terminal and enter the Philippines, provided all applicable PH travel requirements, safety protocols, and minimum public health standards are complied with.
- Passengers must ensure to have complete health & documentary requirements for their onward international destinations. Learn more about Travel Rules and Requirements.
Conditions apply to international to domestic transfer:
- Only passengers who are not required to undergo the required facility-based quarantine can connect to their domestic onward destination. Learn more about Travel Rules and Requirements.
- Upon arrival, the connection shall be within 24 hours (extending the next day).
- Baggage shall be tagged through to the final destination. However, passengers must claim their bags from the carousel for customs clearance at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, then endorse them to our attendants at the Baggage Assistance Desk at the baggage retrieval area for loading onto the next flight.
- Passengers who must undergo facility-based quarantine with existing bookings on international to domestic connecting flights may rebook their onward domestic flight according to their vaccination status, pre-departure COVID-19 test compliance, and quarantine requirements. This is to ensure that the scheduled COVID-19 test and release of test results, if required, are accommodated. Rebooking terms and conditions apply.
- Passengers who must undergo facility-based quarantine making future bookings may book their onward domestic flight according to their vaccination status, pre-departure Covid test compliance, and quarantine requirements.
Baggage Clearance: For connecting flights involving different terminals (in Manila), due to facility limitations and Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine requirements, tagging the baggage to some of the Domestic and International onward destinations may not be allowed. Passengers may need to claim their baggage and clear with Customs upon arrival.
Passengers with connecting flights to the US and Australia must claim their baggage and undergo additional security checks upon arrival in Manila. Passengers must proceed to the Baggage Screening Area for additional security checks.

Transportation Between Ninoy Aquino International Terminals
Philippine Airlines provides FREE shuttle services to and from NAIA Terminals 1 and 2 for passengers with confirmed connecting flights operated by Philippine Airlines, PAL Express, or a PAL airline partner. To avail of this service, passengers may approach the ground staff upon arrival in Manila.
The MIAA free airport shuttle service is also available at the Arrival Curbside for passengers connecting to non-Philippine Airlines flights.
For assistance, passengers should approach the Transfer Desk upon arrival.
