Restricted Items Reminders
If you are travelling on a flight operated by Philippine Airlines/ PAL Express, please note that the following items have restrictions when carried as carry-on, checked baggage, or both, by the Civil Aviation Authority.
Philippine Airlines prohibits the carriage of Dangerous goods items or substances that may endanger the aircraft or guests onboard. Please ensure that the requirements of items specified in the list are followed. Depending on the laws and regulations of the relevant country, violation may be subject to legal penalties or fines.
The following are the restrictions/prohibitions for items to be carried in your checked baggage/carry on:

Wheelchairs/Mobility aids with Lithium Batteries: a. Ensure that batteries are adequately protected against damage by the design of the mobility aid and securely attached to the wheelchair or mobility aid. The electrical circuits must be isolated following the manufacturer’s instructions; or b. Removed from the mobility aid following the manufacturer’s instructions. Each battery removed from the mobility aid must not exceed 300 Wh. c. A passenger may carry a maximum of one spare lithium ion battery not exceeding 300 Wh or two spare batteries each not exceeding 160 Wh.

Note: To convert milliampere hour (mAh) to Wh, multiply mAh by volts and then divide by 1000 (Wh = (mAh × V) ÷ 1000). mAh and volts specifications can be found on your battery or devices.
Warning:
- Charging of devices should be made with precautions to avoid overloading and power surge in high thunder areas.
- AIl battery-powered wheelchairs or other mobility devices required the approval of Philippine Airlines.
- All LAGs carried must be in containers with a capacity of no more than one hundred milliliters (100ml) each, or its equivalent in other volumetric measurements. LAGs in a container larger than 100ml are unacceptable even if the container is only partially filled. Empty containers with a capacity greater than 100ml are permitted.
- Containers holding LAGs are placed in a transparent re-sealable plastic bag with a maximum capacity not exceeding one (1) liter. The indicative size of 1L bag is: 20.5cm x 20.5cm or 25cm x15cm or equivalent. The containers must fit comfortably within the bag and shall be fully closed.

Each passenger is permitted to carry ONLY one (1) transparent re-sealable plastic bag of LAGs, which shall be presented separately for screening.
As part of Philippine Airlines screening process, our check-in agent shall require all passengers to answer the following questions:
