International Passengers must follow the new arrival and quarantine procedures in Bohol, Cebu, Clark, Davao, Laoag, Manila, and Subic mandated by PAL and the Philippine Government. Facility-based quarantine requirement is applicable at the first port of entry into the Philippines, regardless of your final destination. Ensure to check your first PH arrival airport prior to booking the facility.

Note: Negative pre-departure RT-PCR tests taken seventy-two hours (72 hrs) prior to departure shall be honored until 0001H of 19 January 2022.

 

   

Green List

Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, British Virgin Islands, China (Mainland), Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Falkland Islands (Malvinas), The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Hong Kong (Chinese Special Administrative Region), India, Indonesia, Japan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Montserrat, Morocco, Niger, Oman, Pakistan, Paraguay, Saba (Special Municipality of the Kingdom of Netherlands), Saint Barthelemy, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Sint Eustatius, Taiwan, Timor-Leste (East Timor), Uganda

 The protocols for “Green” List countries/jurisdictions/territories in all ports of entry in the Philippines shall be observed.

 Vaccinated

  • Negative RT-PCR test result taken within 48 hours prior to departure from the country of origin  
  • No facility-based quarantine required
  • Self-monitor for any sign or symptom until the 7th day from arrival

 Unvaccinated, Partially Vaccinated, Unverified

  • Negative RT-PCR test result taken within 48 hours prior to departure from the country of origin  
  • Facility-based quarantine until the release of the negative results
  • 5th day swabbing
  • Self-monitor for any sign or symptom until the 14th day from arrival

 NOTES: 

  • The testing and quarantine protocols of Minors shall follow the testing and quarantine protocol of the parent/guardian traveling with them, regardless of the minor’s vaccination status, and country of origin. 

       RT-PCR test exemption of minors 3 years old and below as of December 14, 2021 

  • Asymptomatic minors 3 years and below, shall not be required to present a negative RT-PCR test result.
  • Symptomatic minors 3 years and below shall be subject to the usual testing, and quarantine procedures for international arriving passengers. 

  

Red List

 Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Canada, Curacao, French Guiana, Iceland, Malta, Mayotte, Mozambique, Puerto Rico (U.S.), Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Spain, U.S. Virgin Islands


The inbound international travel of all persons coming from or who have been to “Red List” countries/jurisdictions/territories within the last fourteen (14) days prior to arrival to any port of the Philippines shall be allowed.

  • 7th day swabbing
  • Home quarantine until the 14th day from arrival

 

NOTES:

  • All passengers, whether Filipinos or foreigners, merely transiting on the above-mentioned countries and were not cleared by Immigration will not be restricted.

  • The testing and quarantine protocols of Minors shall follow the testing and quarantine protocol of the parent/guardian traveling with them, regardless of the minor’s vaccination status, and country of origin.

Advisory For Arriving Filipinos Only 

Filipinos arriving from abroad who have recently recovered from COVID-19 but still test positive in their required pre-departure RT-PCR tests may be allowed to enter the Philippines subject to certain requirements.

Travel Requirements

  • Positive RT-PCR test result taken within 48 hours prior to departure from the country of origin

  • Medical Certificate from a licensed physician stating that the traveler:

  • has completed the mandatory isolation period

  • is no longer infectious; and

  • has been allowed free movement/travel

  • Positive RT-PCR test taken 10-30 days prior to departure from the country of origin.


Travelers are required to observe the facility-based quarantine applicable to them based on the classification of the country of origin (Green, Yellow and Red List) and the passenger’s vaccination status.


For fully vaccinated travelers coming from Green List countries, they shall be required to undergo facility-based quarantine periods prescribed for Yellow List countries for fully vaccinated arriving passengers.

Health & Safety

 

Philippine Airlines and all its passengers shall strictly observe the following measures in all airport facilities and on board the aircraft to ensure everyone’s health and safety:

    Voluntary wearing of face shields in the airport and during the flight

Enhanced health & safety protocols:

  • Temperature checks, use of foot baths, and disinfection/sanitation facilities. 
  • Physical and Social Distancing, and minimum contact at all times within the airport premises and during all procedures, from check-in, boarding, inflight (as applicable), disembarking to retrieving of check-in baggage. Seat Distancing shall be observed inflight depending on space availability. Family members and individuals travelling together as part of the same household may still choose to be seated together. 
  • Mandatory public safety announcements before closing of doors and during flight for cabin and health security protocols. 
  • Strict compliance on safety procedures in handling of (suspected) ill passengers on board, which include keeping the last three (3) rows of the plane vacant as isolation area. 
  • Regular sanitation and disinfection of airline facilities and equipment, and in coordination with the airport authorities, all airport facilities and equipment, including lavatories, frequently touched surfaces, wheelchairs, trolleys, countertops, etc.
