Update on Canada travel requirements effective October 1
For our valued passengers traveling to Canada:
The Government of Canada has lifted all COVID-19 border requirements for all travelers, regardless of citizenship, whether entering by land, air, or sea.
Thus, effective from October 1, Canada will no longer require the following:
Public health information through the ArriveCAN app or website;
Proof of vaccination;
Pre-arrival or on-arrival testing;
COVID-19 related quarantine or isolation; and
Monitoring and reporting of COVID-19 signs or symptoms upon arriving in Canada.
The removal of these requirements reflects Canada’s high vaccination rates, capability to surpass the peak of the Omicron wave, the availability and use of vaccine boosters, and lower hospitalization and death rates.
All travelers are highly encouraged to still wear face masks during their trips to further prevent the spread of COVID-19. If you get sick while traveling and upon arrival in Canada, please advise a flight attendant or airline personnel, so that you can be referred to a quarantine officer to decide on further medical assessment.
