What curriculum does Edge use?
Our world class curriculum was developed by a team of experts. The curriculum is based on the national K12 standards and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages for English and Singapore Math Curriculum Framework for Math.
What’s included in the course?
You’ll receive full access to the lesson materials you purchased after class through the Classin chat.
- Access to video recordings of completed lessons for three months.
- A comprehensive daily report of your child’s progress.
- A progress report for the level.
- A schedule of your own choosing.
How long is each lesson?
Each regular lesson is either 25-minutes or 50-minutes in duration depending on the program availed.
Please remember that tutors are unable to extend or postpone a lesson if a student is late.
How do you assess progress?
Assessment is done after every two units.
What if the class is too easy/difficult?
The class level assigned is based on the student's class experience and teacher feedback. If any adjustment is needed, please click "Live Help-Contact Us" or contact our Student Success Advisor
How far in advance can I cancel a lesson?
Students can cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, it shall be deemed as “no-show”, and the course hour shall be deducted from the student’s total allotment
What if something goes wrong during a lesson?
Contact Lesson Support to find out how they can troubleshoot. A tutor will wait in the classroom for 10 minutes or longer while the issue is being resolved.
In a situation where the class has already started and the student experiences technology issues for more than 10 minutes and is no longer able to continue the lesson in any way, the lesson will be deemed completed and will be deducted from the number of allotted course
sessions in the student’s account. It’s important to contact your SSA in advance in the event of force majeure, internet outage or other valid reasons for cancellations.
How frequently should my child take classes?
We suggest 2-3 classes per week in order to maximize learning and knowledge retention.
What devices and platforms could I use to take a class?
We use Classin for our online sessions. For the students’ ease of navigation and viewing, we recommend the use of an Android tablet or iPad in taking classes. But a laptop, desktop or touchscreen mobile phone will also work. Please note though that Chromebooks are not supported.
