Travel Restrictions

  • Passengers allowed to enter:

-          Nationals of United Arab Emirates

-          Residents of United Arab Emirates.

-          Passengers traveling as tourists to Dubai (DXB).

-          Nationals of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia with a United Arab Emirates
    Identity Card arriving at Dubai (DXB).

  • Effective March 12, 2021 at 00:01LT, arriving flights to Dubai from South Africa continue to be suspended for a further (14) days. This suspension affects passenger flights. Exceptions include Diplomatic passengers, UAE citizens, cargo flights and exceptional cases.
  • Effective March 12, 2021 at 00:01 LT, arriving flights to Dubai from Nigeria continue to be suspended for a further (7) days. This suspension affects passenger flights. Exceptions include Diplomatic passengers, UAE citizens, cargo flights, private flights and exceptional cases.

COVID-19 Health Requirements

  • Authentication of the PCR Certificates
  • With reference to the circular received by the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, effective April 11, 2021, inbound passengers, who are required to do so:

    -          Arriving passengers from countries required to provide a negative PCR test on arrival.

    -          Transit passengers arriving from countries which do require a PCR certificate on arrival into DXB.

    -          UAE nationals are exempt and may obtain a PCR test on arrival into DXB.

    Must hold a VALID Covid-19 Test certificate issued within the valid time frame, namely, 72 hours from the time of collecting the sample and departure. Also, ensure that the time of sample collection - “Date & Time” and time of reporting “Result date and Result time” are accurate. The certificate must indicate a NEGATIVE test result, described either in ARABIC or ENGLISH, issued from a certified lab at the original point of destination, where the passenger is travelling from.

  • The airline will verify the authenticity of the PCR certificate of the passenger before accepting him/her on board.
  • The previous announcement requiring the PCR certificate to display a QR code for arriving passengers, is now NOT required until further notice as instructed by the DCAA.
  • As of April 03, 2021:

DXB List of Countries: Angola, Guinea, Kenya, South Sudan, Zambia, Djibouti, Iran, Lebanon, Sudan, Zimbabwe, Egypt, Iraq, Morocco, Syria, Nigeria, Eritrea, Israel, Rwanda, Tanzania, South Africa, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Tunisia, Ghana, Jordan, Somaliland, Uganda, Croatia, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Cyprus, Hungary, Montenegro, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Malta, Romania, Ukraine, Pakistan, India, Vietnam, Tajikistan, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Philippines, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Myanmar, Turkmenistan, Argentina, Chile, Somalia, Turkey, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Poland

  • All UAE residents, GCC citizens, and tourists arriving to DXB/DWC will need to do a pre-travel (before departure) PCR test, irrespective of the country they are coming from
  • Validity period of RT-PCR test is 72 hours from the date of the test.
  • If passenger is traveling from one of the Countries listed above, a second test will be conducted upon arrival in Dubai.
  • UAE National from all countries arriving to DXB/DWC: All UAE Nationals are Not required to conduct PCR test before arriving at DXB/DWC, PCR Test on arrival only.
  • Transit passengers from ALL countries arriving DXB/DWC:

     All transiting passengers are not required to present a COVID 19 PCR test certificate unless it is        mandated by their final destination or transiting from the 63 countries listed above.

-      All Negative COVID19 Certificates must be printed in English or Arabic languages only (No Handwritten Reports).  PCR test validity no more than 72 hours before departure of flight inbound to DXB/DWC. Children under 12 and passengers with moderate to severe disabilities are exempt from PCR.

-      GDRFA approval for Dubai Issued residence visa on https://smart.gdrfad.gov.ae/Smart_OTCServicesPortal/ReturnPermitService.aspx

     Or

-          ICA eligibility registration for other emirates issued visas on https://smartservices.ica.gov.ae/echannels/web/client/guest/index.html#/residents-entry-confirmation

  • Tourists with valid visa or visa on arrival are not required to get any approvals from GDRFA or ICA
  • Passengers must be tested at a government-accredited COVID-19 health facility: https://doh.gov.ph/licensed-covid-19-testing-laboratories
  • Undergo PCR test at DXB before immigration and self-isolate until results
  • The suspension imposed on air transport services, and/or inbound passenger movement to Dubai from Nigeria, is extended for further period of fourteen days (14 days), effective from 26th February 2021 / 00:01 LT:

-          All passengers are required to obtain a negative COVID19 certificate.  The PCR should be conducted within 72 hours of the date of departure

-          All passengers are required to conduct a rapid COVID19 test and obtain a negative result within 4 hours of their departure time.

-          Passengers must travel directly from Nigeria to Dubai. No passengers may enter Dubai from any other Country /station if they have visited or transited via Nigeria in the last 14 days

  • The above does not apply to the following:

-          Members of the diplomatic missions and Businessmen, they must present negative PCR test certificate from one of the (attached) authorized laboratories in Nigeria

-          UAE nationals

-          Passengers exempted and/or granted permission to enter UAE by the appropriate authorities.

             -           Freighter operation.
