GENERAL SANTOS (GES) Travel Guidelines

Travel Permission

  • MGCQ: February 01 – 28, 2021
  • Allowed (flights with LGU clearance)*

LSI and ROF

  • Negative RT-PCR test result OR Negative Antigen test result (72 hours validity)
    • For LSI and ROF affected by the suspension of flight, the IATF will still honor the RT-PCR swab results even if it has passed the 72-hour window period set forth by the local ordinance
  • Pre-registered and updated their health conditions in the Trace and Protect Action Team (TAPAT) applications (http://tapat.gensantos.gov.ph) of the city government at least within twenty-four (24) hours before arrival to the city. NO QR CODE FROM TAPAT, NO ENTRY
  • ROFs and LSIs shall undergo mandatory 14-day quarantine in designated isolation facilities
  • Passengers bound to LGUs outside General Santos City must immediately travel to the respective LGUs. Passengers must have coordinated with their respective LGUs and must be turned over for immediate transport upon arrival.
  • Medical Certificate from DOH of their place of origin (not PUM/PUI) (inbound/outbound)
  • Letter/Certificate Acceptance from destination LGUs
  • Temperature and COVID-19 (undergo FDA approved RT-PCR and/or Rapid Anti-Body based Test)
  • Certification - Undertaking of 14-day quarantine (at LGU quarantine facility/home)
  • Certification - Compliance with 14-day quarantine prior flight

Please note that there may be multiple travel requirements for each destination on national and provincial levels. These rules are subject to change by the issuing local government authority and are issued for our passengers’ and the public’s safety.  As these requirements may change at short notice, the advisories above serve as a general guide.

*CAAP list of airports with LGU Clearance to resume commercial flights.  Some airports, while allowing the resumption of commercial flights, are subject to different documentary and passenger LGU restrictions.








·          FREE Antigen Testing for General Santos-Bound Passengers on December 7-17, 2020

Passengers on flights from Manila to General Santos from December 7-17, 2020 can avail of the FREE Antigen Testing as early as 6 hours and no later than 2 hours before their flight. The testing center is located at PAL Gate 3, Andrews Avenue, Pasay City. Here are the steps to avail of the free Antigen Test:

1.  Register via our partner laboratory’s booking portal via https://bit.ly/PALHMIRegForm. Save the QR code for presentation before testing. 

2. Proceed to the testing center at PAL Gate 3, Andrews Avenue, Pasay City for your Antigen Test as early as six (6) hours and no later than two (2) hours before your flight. In your GPS software application, you may input “PAL Gate 3” or click this Google Maps pin for easier navigation. 

3. Show your QR code before entering and undergo the Antigen Test. The test will be conducted by our testing partner, Health Metrics Inc. (HMI) and you may undergo via drive-thru or walk-in service. Results will be printed and released at designated areas of the testing center. Passengers who test positive shall not be allowed to check-in and board the flight. 

4. Proceed to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 for check-in. You may ride the free PAL shuttle from PAL Gate 3 to NAIA Terminal 2. 

6.      Check-in for your flight. Present your negative test result and other travel requirements to the Documents Check booth for check-in clearance. 

 

Alternatively, you may choose to undergo an RT-PCR Test at your own expense as the General Santos LGU accepts EITHER a negative Antigen OR RT-PCR test result. ​RT-PCR tests can be availed through the PAL Testing Facility in PAL Learning Center, or through our accredited testing partners.
