TAGBILARAN (TAG) Travel Guidelines

Travel Permission

  • MGCQ: February 01 – 28, 2021
  • Allowed (flights with LGU clearance)*

General Requirements

DAVAO-TAGBILARAN FLIGHTS (REF: BIATF-CL-1127-02)

LSI, ROF, APOR, TOURISTS

    • Medical Certificate
    • LGU Acceptance
    • Travel Authority (for LSI and ROF)
    • BIATF Clearance (for APOR)


a) Negative RT-PCR Test Result

    • If conducted prior to departure at the point of origin, test shall be done not later than 72 hours and validity shall be for a period of 3 days from arrival. Should pax to stay beyond 3 days, they shall undergo repeat testing which can either be RT-PCR Test or Antigen Test.
    • If conducted upon arrival, pax shall be placed under quarantine until release of negative result. If the RT-PCR test yields a negative result, pax shall be released and the validity shall be a period of 5 days. Should pax to extend their stay, they shall be required to undergo testing, either RT-PCR or Antigen Test.

b) Rapid Antigen Test

    • If conducted prior to departure at the point of origin, test shall be done 24-48 hours and immediately upon arrival, a repeat RAT shall be done. The validity shall be for 5 days and if pax to stay beyond 5 days, they shall undergo another RAT.
    • If conducted upon arrival, once test result is negative, the pax is allowed to proceed with his/her activities. The validity of the RAT is for a period of 3 days from arrival. Should pax to extend, they shall undergo repeat RAT on the 4th day

c) PCR Saliva Test

    • Test shall be honored and recognized in lieu of the RT- PCR and RAT provided that the test shall yield a negative result
  • 14-day quarantine at a government quarantine facility or an accredited private quarantine facility shall only be implemented for inbound travelers who develop symptoms anytime during his/her stay in the Province of Bohol and have tested positive for RT-PCR
  • For those who availed of a repeat RT-PCR, Rapid Antigen or PCR Saliva testing and yielded positive results, they shall be immediately isolated and quarantined for a period of 10 days at a government quarantine facility or an accredited private quarantine facility. If they have no symptoms for 3 consecutive days, they shall be discharged as clinically recovered.

Tourist Entry Requirements

  • Confirmed Hotel Booking – tourists need to have a confirmed booking with an accommodation establishment (AE) located in the Municipalities of Panglao or Dauis which has a Certificate of Authority to Operate (CAO) from the Department of Tourism (DOT) or the Ultimate Bohol Experience (UBE) Seal from the Provincial Government of Bohol.
  • Negative RT-PCR (Swab type) or Saliva RT-PCR Test Result (72 hours validity) and Testing Protocols
    • Only tourists who have obtained a negative RT-PCR test result from a DOH accredited lab not earlier than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the date of travel, shall be allowed entry to the Province of Bohol.
    • Tourists who have cancelled bookings or last-minute changes in their flight schedules may also opt to be swabbed upon arrival in Bohol at their own expense. However, they would need to fill up a signed undertaking stating that they are willing to undergo strict hotel quarantine until their negative RT-PCR result is released.
    • For tourist who are staying for more than five (5) days, they must undergo a repeat RT-PCR test on the fifth day of their stay
    • Locals may join the meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions (MICE) and events (wedding, reunions, anniversaries, birthdays, and similar celebrations), provided that after the said activity, they will agree to be quarantined for five (5) days and be swabbed for RT-PCR  testing and that they will only be allowed to go home once a negative results of the said test is released.
  • Visit to Tourism Sites – trips outside the AE may only be done thru DOT accredited travel and tour operators and only to sites which have the UBE Seal by the Provincial Government of Bohol.  List of Tourism Service providers with DOT Accreditation and establishments granted by UBE Seal are posted at the Bohol Tourism website: tourism.bohol.gov.ph.
  • Online Registration – Tourist must register through the Bohol Tourist Registration portal via tourism.bohol.gov.ph, registered tourists will be sent necessary information and instructions through their respective emails. A personal QR code will be assigned to each registered tourist which would serve as their electronic visitor’s ID.  It is strictly mandated that there shall be no walk-in tourists.

RETURNING RESIDENTS (LSI and residents returning from other places in the country for business or leisure)

  • Letter of Confirmation from the LGU of residence of Bohol
  • For LSIs bound for the Municipality of Dauis:
    • Negative RT-PCR Test Result (72 hours validity)
    • Barangay Acceptance
    • Oath of Undertaking

APOR (Authorized Person Out of Residence)

  • For APORs bound for the Municipality of Dauis:
    • Negative RT-PCR (Swab type) Test Result or Saliva RT-PCR Test Result (72 hours validity)
    • Mission/Work Order and Company ID
    • Medical Certificate and Valid ID
    • Travel Itinerary
    • Resident APOR: Barangay Acceptance
    • Non-Resident APOR: Hotel Booking Confirmation
    • Oath of Undertaking
  • Confirmed roundtrip plane tickets/ Certification of Confirmation
  • For Health and emergency frontline service personnel:
    • PRC License
    • Official Identification Card, Hospital Identification card, or any other proof of identification
  • For Government officials and government frontline personnel
    • Official Identification Card of their office
  • For Persons traveling for medical reasons
    • Certificate from Local Chief Executive of the LGU having jurisdiction over his or her residence as well as a Medical Certificate
  • Persons traveling for humanitarian reasons
    • Persons traveling to Bohol for permitted work Certificate from Local Chief Executive of the LGU having jurisdiction over his or her residence
  • Persons traveling to Bohol for permitted work
    • Company Identification cards and a certificate of employment from their employer stating that they are still connected with the company
  • Owners of business establishments permitted to operate in Bohol, including going back home
    • Certificate from the Local Chief Executive of the LGU having jurisdiction over his or her residence
  • Persons traveling to Bohol for connecting flights abroad
    • Confirmed plane tickets and proof of residence or work abroad
  • Other professionals in permitted professions
    • Proof of their profession and a document reflecting the purpose of their travel

OFW / ROF (Returning Overseas Filipinos)

  • Appropriate identification as OFW and/or Certificate from Overseas Workers Welfare Administration for OFW
  • Any proof of residence for ROFs
  • For OFW bound for the Municipality of Dauis:
    • Negative RT-PCR Test Result (72 hours validity)
    • Barangay Acceptance
    • Oath of Undertaking

Please note that there may be multiple travel requirements for each destination on national and provincial levels. These rules are subject to change by the issuing local government authority and are issued for our passengers’ and the public’s safety.  As these requirements may change at short notice, the advisories above serve as a general guide.

*CAAP list of airports with LGU Clearance to resume commercial flights.  Some airports, while allowing the resumption of commercial flights, are subject to different documentary and passenger LGU restrictions.
