Choice Economy Seats
For your comfort and satisfaction, you can get choice economy seats located at the exit rows or bulk head seats area. These preferred seating may be reserved subject to applicable Choice Economy Seat Surcharge (CESS). This service is offered on the following flights, subject to availability and the following rates:

The following passengers are exempted from the CESS:
- Adult with infant (first adult only) and children below 12 years old who is part of the travelling party.
- Mabuhay Million Milers.
- Person with disability (and one travelling companion), PAL will provide, as the passenger requests, either a bulkhead seat or a seat other than a bulkhead seat in the same class of service.
- Other cases requiring special handling. Selected seats may be reassigned to passengers with certain categories of disability.
NOTE: Exempted passengers must reserve their seats through the ticket office or the contact center.
Forward Economy Seats
For your easy and priority disembarkation, you can get Forward seats located in the front rows economy zone except exit rows or bulk head seats area which shall remain Choice Economy Seat.This service is offered on the following flights, subject to availability and the following rates:

The following passengers are exempted from the FESS:
- Million Milers.
- Passengers with disability.
- Other cases requiring special handling, current airport procedures to apply.
Conditions:
Reservations, PAL ticket offices, Contact Center, PAL website, On-board/In-flight, Airport Check-in:
- Above fees are on one-way basis.
- Choice Seats are non-refundable, non-rebookable and non-transferable.
- Available for purchase at PAL reservations/Contact Centers, PAL ticket offices, PAL website, Airport upon check-in and Onboard.
- Only ticketed PNR/s (Passenger Name Record) will be accommodated and will qualify to avail of the Choice and Forward Economy Seat.
- Choice and Forward Economy Seat Surcharge fee MUST be assessed/collected at the time the request is made and confirmed through the system. However for exit row seats, even if paid, passenger will still be subject to screening by our check-in agents if he/she is qualified to be seated in the exit row. This is in compliance with the Philippine Civil Air Regulations. Reservations should also ensure that passenger is aware that seat is subject to release to other passengers especially during full flights.
- For exit row seats, passenger must be physically capable and willing to perform emergency actions, be able to familiarize himself with emergency evacuation techniques and meet the other FAA requirements for exit row seats. Otherwise, PAL reserves the right to release the exit-row previously reserved, to another passenger who meets the requirements.
- PAL reserves the right to refuse the seating accommodation reserved or purchased and either reassign him to another choice seat or refund the FESS or CESS as the case may be if the seat as specifically selected by the passenger becomes unavailable due to change of aircraft, government requisition of space, the seat is released pursuant to priority seating for passengers with disability or the passenger cannot comply with FAA requirements for exit row seats.
- A person with a disability cannot be assigned to a bulkhead seat when the bulkhead row is also an exit row if it will be against safety to assign him such seat apart from the FAA requirement on exit row seating.
- For check-through passengers, CESS and FESS shall be collected at the check-in at point of origin. If passenger is bumped off on the connecting flight, refund the CESS and FESS fee.
Refund & Rebooking Policy:
- No refund for no-show.
- No refund for voluntary changes and cancellation.

Passengers unable to use the choice seats for reasons attributable to PAL or for involuntary changes (i.e. aircraft or schedule change, flight disruption and cancellation due to maintenance requirements), passenger may rebook or refund the Choice and Forward Economy Seats.
- For rebooking, passenger needs to coordinate with PR, and will not be automatically reserved on the same seat.
- Passengers are entitled to the outright refund of the CESS/FESS for cash payments. For credit card payments, a refund application should be made with PAL's Refund Section.
