PAL Advisory on Typhoon ‘Karding’
We are closely monitoring the track of Super Typhoon ‘Karding’ (international codename: “Noru”), which is expected to cross through parts of central and northern Luzon and affect other areas of the Philippines tonight (September 25 – Sunday) and tomorrow (September 26 – Monday).

Reminder – Pork Ban on selected domestic flights
To comply with a Philippine government directive, we wish to remind that it is prohibited to carry any type of pork, including pork-related products and by-products, whether raw, processed or cooked, in hand-carry and/or checked in baggage when flying from Manila to the following domestic destinations:

Use of Self-Service Check-In kiosks at Cebu Airport, starting September 5
Effective September 5, travelers departing from Cebu may now use the self-service check-in kiosks positioned at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport departure areas in Terminal 2 (the departure point for both PAL domestic and international flights).

Hong Kong Ban on Alternative Smoking Products
The Hong Kong authorities are strictly prohibiting the importation, manufacturing, distribution, sale, and advertisement of Alternative Smoking Products (ASPs) -- including electronic cigarettes, heat-not-burn cigarettes, herbal cigarettes, and heated tobacco products.

PAL posts record profits for 1st half 2022 as recovery rolls on
Philippine Airlines, Inc. (PAL) registered an operating income of US$ 125 Million (PHP 6.6 Billion) and net comprehensive income of US$ 71 Million (PHP 4.2 Billion) for the first half of 2022. The flag carrier confirmed that this was the first positive 1st and 2nd quarter financial results since 2016.
